We bill to most dental insurance plans as a benefit for our patients. We are currently in network with Delta Dental of Washington and Delta Dental as premier providers, Cigna, Premera, and Regence.
If you are wondering if we are in network with your specific plan, call us and we will be happy to help you coordinate your benefits.
Q: What does it mean if we are out of network?
A: It means that your insurance company has a set fee allowance per proceedure. If our fee is higher than their in network allowance, then the difference is the patients responsibility. We can not guarantee benefits, but we are happy to send a pre-determination of benefits. Dental insurance is more like an added benefit provided by an employer or by plan choice. Dental insurance is not the same as your medical insurance in that benefits and annual limits are selected by your employer's choice of plans. Many plans can range from $500 allowed per calendar year to $2500. Most plans we tend to see are between $1000 and $1500 per year. Some plans conform to the calendar year and some to a service year.
If you have two dental insurance policies ( Dual Insurance ) they will have a coordination of benefits clause. This clause determines how the coverage will pay out as a secondary plan. Coordination of benefits between two plans can be confusing and not necessarily obvious so be sure to ask us about it.
